이스라엘 항공산업과 엘빗시스템, 터키에 UAV시스템공급

이스라엘 (SPX) 2005년 9월 5일

Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems will jointly supply the Turkish Armed Forces Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) systems.

이스라엘 항공산업(IAI)과 Elbit System사는 터키의 UAV기를 공동으로 공급하기로 하였다.

The contract is valued at $150 million and each company's share will amount to approximately $75 million. The contract was signed in May 2005 between Israel UAV Partnership (IUP) and the Turkish MOD is entering into effect now.

이 계약은 약 1억5000만달러 규모이며, 양사 각각 7500만 달러 가까이 몫을 배정받았다. 2005년 5월경 이스라엘 무인기조합(IUP)과 터키국방부(MOD)사이에 계약이 이루어졌다.

IUP is an equally owned partnership between Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Elbit Systems. IUP will act as the major subcontractor to TUSAS Aerospace Industry (TAI) for the program. The systems will be delivered to the Turkish MOD over a three-year period, and will be operated by the Turkish Armed Forces.

IUP는 이스라엘 항공기 산업(IAI)과 Elbit Systems이 동등하게 출자하여 세운 합자회사이다. (합자회사인지 합명회사인지는 잘 모르겠으나 공동출자한 회사로 짐작됨.) IUP는 TUSAS 항공우주산업(TAI)의 주요 하도급업체로 활동하고 있다. 이 UAV 시스템은 3년에 걸쳐서 터키국방부에 인도된 후 터키군에서 운용된다.

Moshe Keret, IAI's President & CEO said that: " We are proud and pleased to have been selected together with Elbit Systems for this program which marks another step in the long lasting and productive relationship between IAI and the Turkish Defense Industry."

IAI의 최고경영자 Moshe Keret는“우리는 엘빗시스템사와 이 프로그램에 참가하는 것을 영광스럽고 기쁘게 생각하며, 이 프로그램은 터키 국방산업과 IAI사이의 영속적인 관계의 또 다른 족적이 될 것이며, 생산적인 관계를 보여줄 것입니다.”라고 말하였다.

몇일전에 이런기사가 났더군요. 이미 예상이 된 내용이긴 합니다만....
어떤 종류의 UAV를 도입하는지는 잘모르겠습니다만.....
글로벌호크와 관련된 우리의 입장을 생각한다면 좀 씁슬합니다.
